SOMEONE JUST BROKE INTO MY HOUSE! WHILE I WAS IN IT!

(They ran off when I yelled at them and they realized someone was home.)

This happened to me last summer. I know exactly how you feel. At least, I think I do. I felt violated and began to question if I should own a firearm. I decided instead to just secure the apartment better with a bar on yhe patio door.

OMGosh! Are you alright? That is SCARY!

WHAT? THAT IS CRAZY? WHAT HAPPENED?

They popped the door jamb with a crowbar or something.

I'm fine, just a little jittery.

I feel for you! I had the cops chase a guy into my backyard and he tried to get in through the glass door, but thankfully it was locked. Even with cops there, it was freaky!
And so glad they ran off when they realized you were there!

Holy crap! Did you call the cops. That is really freaky. Hope you're okay.

Gasp! That is crazy! Hope everything is ok.

Holy Crap! So glad you didn't get hurt.

Wow. I hope you called the police. Whoever is dumb enough (or stoned enough) to break into a home in broad daylight needs to be collected and jailed immediately, before someone gets hurt.

Glad you're okay.

Holy shit. Are you okay? Do you live alone? Do you have a dog?

Josin L. McQuein said...

Yes, I'm okay. The neighbor across the street is actually a cop, of all things.

Yes, I have dogs. I was so proud of my baby girl - she did her best Pit bull impression :-P

There was a piece of heavy upholstery material strung over the door because of the drafts with all the cold weather lately, and it actually caught the wood as it splintered and kept it from opening easily. It was held up with giant thumbtacks from Wal-Mart, not even nails. Best $4 I ever spent - thank God!

My cousin's hubby's came over and got it secured.

That sucks, I'm sorry.

We had a break in a few months ago. Which is why my parents' dog now lives with us. She parks at the wind and is an excellent deterrent.

I've been thinking of installing some door jamb armor anyway, just to be cautious since a lot of places around here are getting their doors kicked in.

Wow. Glad you are okay. That is the scariest thing ever.

Glad you're okay! That would have been scary.

Going to lock my doors now, just in case...

Glad you're alright. What a scary thing.

Oh! I'm glad that your neighbor's a cop. And that your dog did a good job of barking, I hear. Are you feeling mentally ok?

That happened to one of my co-workers this past Tuesday. I'm so sorry. I'm glad everyone's okay, though! *snug*
